Associate Certified Coach (ACC)

Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential-holders are trained (60+ hours) and experienced (100+ hours) coaches. They have demonstrated knowledge and emerging proficiency in the application of the ICF Core Competencies, Code of Ethics, and definition of coaching. Earners show a commitment to high ethical standards and have demonstrated, through rigorous assessment, professional competence in their work with clients. The ACC must be renewed every three years.

Earning Criteria

Completion of at least 60 hours of coach-specific training that meets ICF guidelines for credentialing.

Completion of at least 100 hours of client-coaching experience since the start of their coach training.

Completion of 10 hours of mentor coaching with an eligible mentor coach.

Submission of a completed application for the Associate Certified Coach Credential.

Pass both knowledge and performance assessments at the Associate Certified Coach level.

The Code of Ethics is designed to provide appropriate guidelines, accountability and enforceable standards of conduct for all ICF Members and ICF Credential-holders, who commit to abiding by the ICF Code of Ethics.
